Ross Robinson finishes second in Delaware State Championship at DIS
Capping off the 2023 season with the two-day Delaware State Championship, both Ross and Amanda Robinson visited Delaware International Speedway (Delmar, Del.) on Friday afternoon for the Super Late Model portion of the event.
Amanda claimed the fast time honors in time trials with a blistering 18.427-second lap in time trials before placing second in her heat while Ross outran Jamie Lathroum in his heat to pick up the eight-lap victory.
Gunning for the $7,000 top prize in Saturday night’s main event, Ross rolled to a second-place finish, chasing race-long pacesetter Jamie Lathroum to the checkers with Rick Rick, Kyle Hardy, and Shaun Jones completing the Top-5 finishers. Amanda notched a seventh-place finish in the 40-lap affair.
