Yankee Dirt Track Classic, I-80 Championship Sunday Awaits Team 53
Andrew Kosiski and Team 53 will be in action Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as one of the biggest racing weekend of the year has come upon us. The two day, 43rd Annual Yankee Dirt Track Classic will kick off the Labor Day weekend at the 300 Raceway - Farley, Iowa with the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series finale wrapping things up at I-80 Speedway.
The Malvern Bank Super Late Model Racing (SLMR) Series and Hoker Trucking LLC East Series will co-sanction the 43rd Annual Yankee Dirt Track Classic. Friday night a $3,000 to win 30 lap feature will highlight night one of the Yankee while night two will be a 70 lap $10,000 to win race. Andrew has visited the 300 Raceway one time previous, last years’ Yankee Dirt Track Classic, where he finished 11th in the main event. Kosiski has been climbing the points standings in both the Malvern Bank and Hoker Trucking Series standings since missing the opening races on both tours due to Covid. AK currently sits 18th in the West and 9th in the East.

Sunday night, September 6th, Championship Sunday comes to the I-80 Speedway for the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series. The All Makes Collision Center, Certified Transmission, Kosiski Auto Parts, Super Clean, Select Auto Omaha, Omni Inventive Care, We'll Smoke U BBQ No. 53 enters the finale 2nd in points, 12 markers behind Ben Schaller. Kosiski will have to beat Schaller by seven positions to become the 2020 Chanpion. Andrew has finished 2nd, 8th, 4th, and 4th in the four races this season thus far in the five race mini season that was shortened by the pandemic. Kosiski has never won the I-80 Speedway Track Championship.
