Kosiski Aims For Getzschman Racing Debut at Cornhusker Classic
Andrew Kosiski looks to make his 2020 debut with the Getzschman Racing Team this Friday and Saturday, as the annual Speedway Motors Cornhusker Classic comes to the I-80 Speedway . This will be Kosiski’s first race of the season with the Bragging Rights Late Model Series, as the two day $1,000 to win event closes out this year’s racing action at the Greenwood, Nebraska raceway.
Andrew will debut a brand new Rocket Chassis XR1 sponsored by All Makes Collision Center , Thrifty Car Rental , and Dollar Car Rental for car owners Karl and Tracie Getzschman who own All Makes Collision in Council Bluffs, Iowa. AK has partnered with All Makes Collision for the last three seasons on his family owned No. 53 super late model, meanwhile making selected starts over the years for the Getzschman Racing Team in the Bragging Rights division. In every start in the No. 18 machine Kosiski has finished runner up 2nd place, with this weekend’s only goal being to end up in victory lane.
Thursday night’s practice session will see Kosiski test out the new car and himself. After last weekend’s wild roll at the Lakeside Speedway, Andrew visited the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Sports Medicine Team for concussion testing. The UNMC doctors deemed Kosiski could participate in this weekend’s races as long as he doesn’t have any set backs from the practice session.
Andrew was the 2015 Bragging Rights Series Champion, which was his last full time season in that division.
