Kringas Wins Dirt Nationals

Johnny Kringas wins the 2015 Pro Division of US Legend Cars International Dirt Nationals (USLCI) in Cleveland TN.

Johnny beat some of the best drivers in the country and a few from Australia who traveled to complete in Pro Division of the 2015 Fitzgerald Glider Kit's USLCI Dirt Nationals at Cleveland Speedway, in Cleveland TN.

Johnny, lead all 30 laps of the Pro Division Dirt Nationals race, running 17 laps of the 30 lap feature in under 17.100 seconds, breaking the track record (his own, established during this race) three different times during the 30 lap event. Posting a best time of 16.928 and at times having wide lead over the rest of the field, more than a straight away. For most the race he and the second place car broke away from the field.

Johnny, also won the 2015 Pro Division of the Race of Champions, and the 2015 Trophy dash. All held on the same day, due to the events being rained out the day before.

Johnny brought home three trophies for the day.

As many of you know Kringas raced all season and for the past two seasons with the names of two fallen police officers on his car, who were killed in the line of duty. Illinois State Trooper James Sauter and Crest Hill Police officer Timothy Simenson. This is to honor fallen officers and their survivors through the Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S) organization. This is part of a multi race program put together by Warren Ropp of the Bull Town Legends of IA, to raise awareness and money to support the families of fallen officers and honoring them. Johnny drove their names in to victory lane 5 times this year and they rode with him on numerous laps during the 25 plus races he raced this year. They were also with him when he crossed the finish line to with the 2015 USLCI Dirt Nationals.

Car chief Mickey Kudlicki and mentor Nelson Stewart made this season and past years possible.

As many know, Mickey works his butt off to make sure Johnny has the best possible car!

We are always proud of Johnny and Mickey, but this effort was amazing!

To beat the level of competition truly the best of the best, Johnny faces, overcoming the track conditions due to the rain, racing the 30 lap Nationals Feature, going straight to tech, running back to the trailer numerous times for tools as they tore his car down in Tech, to victory lane, to get carried in to get soaked with camapaing straight to the back up car for race of champions, as the rest of the field was already on the track as we working to change his tires and get Johnny in the car, joing the field just as they came to green, win the Pro division of Race of champions, and going straight to the Trophy dash, winning all three races, it was surreal.
