Johnny Kringas Wins The Harbor Town Showdown at Manitowoc, WI 7-3-15
Johnny Kringas, of Homer Glen, IL competing in US Legend Car International Pro Division First Win of the 2015 season in Manitowoc WI.
This race also happened to be the USLCI National Qualifier which brought Legend Car drivers in from as far away as North Dakota.
Winning The Harbor Town Showdown, was something Johnny had to drive for.
Feature Race Recap:
Johnny started deep in pack, on this very fast track, as Johnny worked his way through the field, each caution, brought him closer to the front, as Mickey has stressed to Johnny the importance of restarts. Johnny finally took the lead, about half way through the race and once out front he opened wide margins between himself the rest of the field.
Johnny was clearly very fast this night. but once out front he had to hold off the very strong competition who was working over his rear bumper pretty good at the restarts, as near the end of the race numerous cautions were thrown. No telling how many laps were ran in this race to get it in.

Scotty Thiel. put this race on, and they went all out in Victory Lane Presentations, A Big Check and Bigger Check, A Super Cool Trophy and a 24 Pack of something Johnny had no idea what to do with. Needless to say he gave it to Mickey, who once iced up Mickey has Happy!, Happy! and a few older quickly figured it out what to do with it as well. For some reason we had a lot of friends in the pits and they seamed thirsty.
Johnny had a Power Aid to Celebrate and check to collect.
Thank You Scotty Thiel and everything he has done to allow Legend cars as a support class to his IRA shows, much appreciated.
Scotty is first class all the way.
