40th Annual Winter Nationals w/ ASCS National Tour
Tonight we are traveling east for Friday and Saturday’s 40th Annual Winter Nationals at Devil’s Bowl Speedway with the ASCS National Tour. Over 45 cars showed up last year and there’s sure to be a stout field ready to take to the historic ½ mile. Over the years it seems like I’ve had some really tough luck in Mesquite with drawing bad pills and encountering mechanical failures, as well as blown engines. However, Devil’s Bowl feels really familiar to me and I have more laps there than any other place besides Tucson International Speedway with the wing. We are always moving forward at the end of the night, especially when it gets slick. The key for tomorrow and Saturday will be to have a good run in the heats. With a freshened up race car I’m confident we can do just that, and I hope for a good, solid, and safe weekend. I will post update throughout the nights, time permitting, on Facebook and Twitter so check out our pages to keep up!
