Champions Park Lake
Wake the Lake 4 Update - It's ON
Boat Race Fans,
It's ON...we are moving forward with Wake the Lake 4.. The Champions Park team have been working diligently with the County Health Commission to ensure the best and safest environment for fans, competitors, and staff during these challenging times. Listed below is our plan moving forward. With that said the big items will be maintaining social distancing between tailgate spots and fans. Tailgating and Camping are limited to 10 people per spot due to State of Ohio guidelines on gatherings. With the spacing out of spots we will only have 85 tailgate spots this year. We're designing a new map and should have it by July 1st to send out. As of right now we only have 15 tailgate spots open.
We're excited to move forward and hope everyone understands we have to operate a little different to pull off our event. I can't thank you all enough for all your support of Wake the Lake 4. All eyes will be on Springfield as we put on one of the few boat races in America because of our unique venue and ability to implement/practice all the safety elements needed during these challenging times. It will be a testament to strength of Springfield Ohio and how we can work together, adapt and move forward.
Thank You,
Dana Potts
