Iron-Man Late Model Series
Winterfest Goes Saturday February 12th at Duck River Raceway Park
LEWISBURG, TN (January 25, 2022)—New Duck River Raceway Park owners Russell and Angie Boothe are excited to get the first race of the 2022 season underway starting with the Winterfest presented by Perry’s Performance on Saturday February 12. Saturday’s action features multiple divisions on tap headlined by the Super Late Model running for $3,000-to-win and $300-to-start.
In addition to the feature purse, multiple sponsors have stepped up to offer incentives. The Fast 6 qualifiers will run a Dash (6 laps) and each position will pay money. The overall Fastest Qualifier will draw a pill for the Dash invert. The Last Chance Heat Races (8 laps) will also pay money to the top-three competitors. The Super Late Model feature will be 30 laps.
In addition to the Super Late Models, the following divisions will also be on the racing card: CRUSA 604 Late Models $2,000 to win, CRUSA 602 Late Models $1,500 to win, CRUSA Street Stocks $1,500 to win, CRUSA Modifieds $1,200 to win, Mod 4 paying $1,500 to win, Modified Street racing for $800 to win, Pure Pony racing for $800 to win, the Factory/Pure Stocks will compete for $500 to win and the Dwarf division is racing for $400 to win.
The track is charging a $125 pre-entry fee for Super Late Models if postmarked by February 9 or after February 9 or day of the event will be $150. Savings of $25 by pre-entering.
The track will have an open practice on Friday February 11 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm CST. $25.00 per person entry into the pits.
On Saturday February 12, the gates open at 8:00 am CST with The Driver’s Meeting slated for 10:30 am CST and Hot Laps rolling out at 11:00 am CST. General grandstand admission is $20.00 per person with kids 6-12 being $10.00 and children 5 and under admitted Free. Adult pit pass admission is $35.00 per person with kids 6-12 being $20.00 and children 5 and under admitted Free. Breakfast will be available at the Concessions that morning.
Super Late Models will run under Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Series rules and procedures and officials from the series will be there to officiate the event. The tire rule for the Super Late Models will be as follows: Hoosier 1350, 21 and American Racer 48 anywhere on the car. The Hoosier 1600, LM40 and American Racer 56 will be right rear options. The same four tires will be required to be run for Qualifying, the Dash and Last Chance Heats. Two new tires will be allowed for the feature event. The droop rule will NOT be in effect as well as the new 2022 body rules. The series will be racing off of 2021 rules.
