WINTERS WINNER IN DRP 602 LATE MODEL BADGER STATE EVENT
Wisconsin Dells WI 8/13/22-Sun Prairie’s Mike “Hollywood” Winters would collect a HUGE win in the 602 Outlaw Late Model Feature presented by Lube USA Saturday night. Charlie Bates and Mike Winters brought a stout field of 602 Outlaw Late Models to the green for the 25 lap feature. Winters would gain the early advantage as Bates would fall through the field. Brian Johnson Sr. and Bill Prietzel would climb up to battle for the second spot as Winters pulled away. Jason Stark, Tom Carlson and Ethan Rose would climb through the ranks. Stark would clear into second and go to work trying to catch the 77. Winters was on a cruise with a 15 car length lead coming to the white when the caution flew for the first time for a spinning car off of turn 4. It would be a green white checkered finish as the Five Star Concrete and Excavating lane choice cone would give Stark the opportunity to start next to Winters on the restart. Right out of the Dell Prairie Auto Body Restart Zone it was clear the 77 had the better car as he would gap the 81 and win by 3 car lengths. Winters was followed to the line by Jason Stark, Brian Johnson Sr., Tom Carlson and Ethan Rose. Ethan rose was the Performance Parts Supply Fast Qualifier with a lap of 14.186
