LICHTFELD WINS THRILLER IN UMA PRO LATE MODELS

Wisconsin Dells WI 7/16/22-Mike Lichtfeld continued his domination of the Gandrud Performance Parts UMA Pro Late Models with a 35 lap feature win on Lube USA night. Ronnie Osborne and Dennis Schmidt. Brought the stacked field to the green with Schmidt taking the early advantage as the field battled behind him. The 35 lap format would create an immediate sense of urgency as the nights fastest Pro Late Models worked their way to the front in a hurry. 8th place starter Morgan Schissel would be the first to challenge the 51 for the lead ultimately taking the top spot on lap 8. Schissel would hold the top spot and show his power through multiple restarts and Five Star Concrete and Excavating lane choice cone appearances. Defending Champion Jesse Bernhagen would be the next challenger and would take the lead with 5 to go. At this point it was go time as thee two battled and the 44 of Lichtfeld would chase them down. Contact between the leaders and a brilliant move by the 44 would make the lead change one final time as Lichtfeld again found himself seeing the checkered flag first. He was followed to the line by Jesse Bernhagen,Kevin Kulka,Morgan Schissel and Kendrick Kreyer. The nights Gandrud Performance Parts Pro Late Model B main saw Stephen Manke collect the checkered flag. He would be joined in the main event by Nick Beaver, Mark Eswein and Thayran Rezin. The Diamond Racing Wheels fast Dash for The Gandrud Performance Parts UMA Pro Late Models was won by Rookie Pilot Kendrick Kreyer. Heat races were claimed by Jake Jump and Thayran Rezin. Out of the 25 Gandrud Performace Parts UMA Pro Late Models in the house Mike Lichtfeld was the fastest with a lap of 14.153.
