MALOUF MARVELOUS IN MIDWEST DASH RETURN TO DRP

Wisconsin Dells WI 7/16/22-Phil Malouf wins the 30 Lap feature for the Midwest Dash Series on Lube USA night. The Midwest Dash series made their first trip to Dells Raceway Park in a few years Saturday night and put on one heck of a show! Al Strobel III and Jeremy Bredeson brought the incrdible field of Dash cars to the green. Immediately it was a car fight as the highly modified 4 cylinder cars entered turn one already deep in battle. Strobel would gain the early lead and try to gap the field. Pete Doxey would take over the point on lap 7 and hold it until a caution flew for the expired power plant on the strong running Strobel machine. The caution would also claim Doxey as he would inexplicably pull off into the pits during the caution. This would leave the lead to the series Veteran Phil Malouf who would take the advantage and never look back though he was challenged by the 21 of Scott Ciesielski. Malouf would be first to the stripe followed closely by Ciesielski, Mark English, Dan Braun and Tim Higgins. A B-main was needed in the Midwest Dash Series to round out the feature field. Shawn Kemnetz was the winner, he and Hunter Lanwehr would move on to the main event. The Midwest Dash series had 3 Heat races presented by Lube USA, those heat races were won by Tyler Edmundson, Gary Gerald and Karter Stark. Of the 23 Midwest Dash Series cars to take time Janesville’s Mark Dewey set the fastest lap breaking the 5 year old track record at a 15.750
