Inside Line Promotions – BRIDGEPORT, N.J. (May 23, 2018) – Jason Sides is waterlogged after losing four more World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series races to wet weather.

A trio of events last week in Pennsylvania and one earlier this week in New Jersey rained out, meaning 15 nights of racing for the Outlaws have been either postponed or cancelled because of rain this season.

The next opportunity to compete is this Friday at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N.C., during the Outlaw Showdown before traveling to Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Ind., for Monday’s Memorial Day Spectacular presented by KOI Auto Parts.

“We’ve had some decent runs in Charlotte,” he said. “I always enjoy it. Momentum is key there and you have to qualify well because it’s so fast and can be tough to pass. It’s not that big of a track, but it still races really fast.”

Sides earned a career-best runner-up result at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in 2013. He’s also placed second at the oval in 2009 and he has five top fives and 15 top 10s there dating back to 2007.

His last top-10 at Lawrenceburg Speedway came in 2012 when Sides rallied from 17th to 10th in the main event.

“We haven’t been very good there at all in the past,” he said. “We’ve had a couple of DNFs there and have struggled. That’s a track I need to do better at so hopefully we can turn it around on Monday.”
