Continuous Heavy Showers Cancel Thursday Program at Spoon River Speedway
Due to overnight rain showers and noon-time rains making landfall at Spoon River Speedway and weather models showing more inclement weather to come, World of Outlaws CASE Construction Equipment Late Model and track officials have canceled Thursday’s racing program.
The decision was made after working closely with Precision Weather Service and keeping the best interest of driver safety and traveling race fans in mind. The Series plans to return to the Lewistown, IL track in 2025, with a date to be announced at a later time.
If you purchased a ticket in advance for the World of Outlaws for Thursday’s event at Spoon River Speedway, you will receive a face-value credit to your MyDirtTickets.com account – good for two years – to be used toward any World of Outlaws event available at WorldofOutlaws.com/tix. If a credit to your account does not work for you, then you have until Sept. 15 to request a refund.
Regular Racing action resumes this Saturday, August 17 with DIRTcar Modifieds, Pro Late Models, Hornets and the SRS E-Mods
