AJ Hicks wins at Willard; Tyler Hoy gets his first AAS Victory at Isom and Zach Sise takes home the Mini Points Fund with a Win at Lake Cumberland!
Another Race Week for the AAS in the Books, this time a triple header in Kentucky for the July the Fourth Weekend! As every Year it took us to Willard, Willard Speedway first, then to Isom's Mountain Motor Speedway and we ended on at Lake Cumberland, Lake Cumberland Speedway.
Over the course of this weekend there was also the Mini Points Fund going on, rewarding the driver with the best average finishing position, if started all three races.
The Weekend started at Willard with the MyRacePass Hotlaps and that with Zach Sise as the Hot Laps Fast Time Winner, his Lap being a 13.359. The Top Three were close together and are rounded out by Oscar McCown,13.387, and AJ Hicks, 13.398.
In BHR Qualifying we would see Skylar Marlar take the Fast Time Award with a 13.519. The 13.565 of Logan Walls and 13.574 of Zach Sise would only be enough for second and third, respectively.

Skylar Marlar led the beginning of the race from pole, his pace being strong, it looked like he was on his way to victory. But then in lapped traffic he was involved in a caution, taking him out of contention, making for an amazing battle for the Lead. It would be incredibly close to the finish, but AJ Hicks was the one taking home the victory, just beating Zach Sise, who finished second. And just behind him were Logan Walls in third, Bailie Lowe in fourth and Braeson Fulton in fifth. In sixth wee had Dalton Brown and in seventh an fast Joshua Chesney that went up ten spots, which makes him our Hard Charger of the night. And with that it was time for the Jamie "Moe" Slone Memorial, 40 Laps at MMS on night two of the Stars and Strips Weekend!
The Leader set a strong pace early on but slowly the cars behind were closing in, making a battle for the lead with serval cars in contention. Ryan Smith would secure second in front of a charging Zane Powell.
In DirtRichTV B Feature the last spots were up for grabs. The win would go to Jason Cardwell, while second went to a strong Steven Stallings. Chris Chandler and Blaise Frasure would also advance to the Feature.
And now it was time for the grand finale of the Stars and Stripes Weekend, in the Freedom 40! From the start it was a close race, especially at the front.
