2020 Season Set To Open Friday with Star Studded Show Featuring the Lucas Oil ASCS National Sprint Car Series

(PETERSEN MEDIA- Merced, CA)- Coming off of a great first year at the helm of Merced Speedway, S&S Promotions is set to embark on their second season at the track and that season will open on Friday night March 6th as the Lucas Oil ASCS National Sprint Series comes to town and share the stage with the IMCA Sport Mods and the Mini late Models.

Making their first appearance at Merced Speedway the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour will bring a collection of winged sprint car aces from coast to coast as well as drivers from Canada and Australia to take on the stiff competition that the California contingent has to offer.

Leading the way for the Lucas Oil ASCS National Sprint Car Series are the likes of Blahe Hahn, multi time champion in California, Roger Crockett, Australian sharp shooter, Scott Bogucki, Matt Covington, Harli White, John Carney, II, a host of drivers from Canada including Thomas Kennedy, Jr, Robbie Price, Alex Hill, and Dylan Westbrook, and a host of others.

The stars and cars form the ASCS tour will go toe to toe on the quarter mile bullring against California standouts such as, Andy Forsberg, Justyn Cox, Shane Golobic, World of Outlaws Rookie of the Year, Carson Macedo, Dominic Scelzi, Justin Sanders, Colby Copeland, DJ Netto, Tanner and Blake Carrick, Mitchell and Michael Faccinto, Kalib Henry, Tanner and Blake Carrick, Tony Gualda, Kyle Offill, Shane Hopkins, and more.

Also on the card Friday night are the season openers for the IMCA Sport Mods, who put on quite the shows on a weekly basis in 2019, as well as the upstart Mini Late Model division.

Tickets for the show on March 6th are all General Admission and start at 5$ for kids 6-12, $25 for seniors 60 and up as well as Military, and just $30 for adults while those young fans five and under are free.

The pit gate is slated to open at 2pm, with the main grandstands opening at 5pm. Hot laps will go green a promptly 6pm with heat race action slated for 7pm.
