Merced Speedway
Sawyer, Johnson, Nelson, and Keldsen Win on Legends Night
(PETERSEN MEDIA- Merced, CA)- Paying homage to years gone by on Saturday night at Merced Speedway, Robbie Sawyer, Michael Johnson, Billy Nelson, and Dakota Keldsen each scored wins during Legends Night.
With 25 IMCA Mods checked into the speedway for a great night of racing, it was Robbie Sawyer parking his machine in victory lane besting the likes of Jerry Flippo, Troy Foulger, Jesse Burks, and Ryan Porter who rounded out the Top-5.
IMCA Sport Mod action also saw 25 cars pack the pits on this night, and when the dust settled it was Michael Johnson pulling in the winner’s circle. Flanking Johnson on this night was Nick Spainhoward, Fred Ryland, KC Keller, and Jason Nation.
A healthy count of 20 Hobby Stocks were in attendance and it was Billy Nelson taking top honors on the bullring. Kevin Irwin, Domossie Scroggins, Justin Gonzalez and Tyler Guzman completed the Top-5 in this division.
Dakota Keldsen topped the 10-car Mini Stock feature event. An exciting show saw Keldsen hold off Shawn DePriest, Lee Ragsdale, Jennifer Rodgers, and Chris Croder.
Saturday night at Merced Speedway the racing card with be made up of both the IMCA Modifieds and Sport Mods, Valley Sportsman and Mini Late Models with the action going green at 7pm.
Tickets for this show will be $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, Kids 12 and under will be just $5, and those little ones five and under will be admitted at no cost.
