Sunday Night Auto Racing at the Silver Dollar Speedway
CHICO, Calif., May 21, 2024…The bright lights from the carnival rides at the Silver Dollar Fair will be shining on the fast 410 sprint cars and fan favorite Hobby Stocks this Sunday night, May 26. The Silver Dollar Speedway will host the 410 sprint cars and Hobby Stocks to entertain a full grandstand of fair patrons. The best deal about the Sunday night race is that it’s free to watch, with paid admission into the Silver Dollar Fair. Pricing for the Silver Dollar Fair can be found here: www.silverdollarfair.org
The winged 410 sprint cars will compete for a huge payday. SLC Promotions is offering $4,000 to the winner of the main event and a minimum of $400 to start the main event. Last year’s winner, Shane Golobic, will look to repeat and park his car in front of the big Ferris Wheel after the races.
SLC Promotions has made a point to increase the Hobby Stock purse this year. Once again, the winner of the Hobby Stock main will get $300, second $200, and third $150. Yet, maybe more important than the money is winning in front of a packed house and taking home the victory trophy.
TEAM INFORMATION
Sprint cars and hobby stock drivers, just like last year, we will move the pit gate entrance to the back side of the pit area. An enclosed map will guide you where to go. DO NOT GO THROUGH THE COSCTO WAY, OR THE FRONT FAIRGROUNDS ENTERANCE!
RACE INFORMATION
Pit Gate Opens: 2 PM
Pit Meeting: 5 PM
410 Hot Laps: 5:45 PM
410 Qualifying: 6:05 PM
Hobby Stock Hot Laps: 6:30 PM
Opening Ceremonies: 6: 45 PM
Racing Starts 7 PM
Goal is to be done by 9 PM (So fans and teams can go enjoy the Fair until it closes)
FLO RACING will be live Sunday night from Chico for those fans unable to attend.
