Dutch Bros. Presents Point Race # 13

CHICO, CA (7-28-14) - With three races to go in the Tri Counties Bank Friday night point championship series the chase has begun for drivers in hope of a title. The Economy Sprint cars, mini stocks, hobby stocks are all involved in close point battles. The winged 360 sprint cars are geared for another non-point show while the California Vintage Hardtops are back for their close exhibition racing.

Dutch Bros. has been a strong supporter of sprint cars and the race track for the last five years. We are glad to be part of the Dutch family. On this night there will be numerous Dutch Bros. themed giveaways to the grandstand crowd. There are three Chico Dutch Bros. locations located at 2393 Cohasset Rd, 1733 Esplanade, and 480 E Park Ave. Adult Tickets are just $13, Seniors/Juniors are $11, and Children are just $6. So bring the Family and Friends out for Dutch Bros. Night at the Races. We also encourage all of our fans to support these Dutch Bros. locations.

If you are a mini stock die-hard fan then this is the night to attend. For the final time in 2014 the mini stocks will make their last appearance of year. The mini stocks will be the featured division on this night. Howard Law won his third main event of the year this past Friday night and leads the mini stock division by nine points over Jimmy Ford. Shaun Merritt sits comfortable in the third spot. Ryan Cherezian moved up two spots into fourth and James Foster dropped two spots into fifth.

Another full field of winged sprint cars is scheduled to appear this Friday night. Auburn's Andy Forsberg looks to build upon his win last Friday night at Chico. It marked his first win of the year at Chico. Roseville's Sean Becker, Chico's Jonathan Allard and many more are expected.

Only five points separate the top three drivers in the economy sprints. Jason Standley leads the charge by two points over Scott Gannett. Ron Wyman sits in the third spot. Shawna Overton holds on to the fourth spot in points and David Johnson has crept into the fifth spot.

Jesse Skidmore has carried his three wins to leading the hobby stock points. Brain Compton is six points back. Kyle Allen is all by himself in third. David Pierce and Shannon Collins are locked into the top five.
