For generations, Wilmot Raceway has been a cornerstone of dirt track racing in southeastern Wisconsin. Located in Wilmot, just minutes from the Illinois border, our 3/8-mile clay, semi-banked oval has built a reputation for close racing, passionate fans, and unforgettable Saturday nights.

A Tradition of Dirt Track Racing

Since opening in 1951, Wilmot Raceway has welcomed racers and fans who share a love for grassroots motorsports. What started as a local racing venue has grown into a track known throughout the Midwest, hosting everything from weekly programs to nationally recognized touring series. Through decades of change, one thing has remained constant: a commitment to great racing and a great fan experience. Wilmot Raceway is known to be the birth place of the Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprint Car Series and Wisconsin WingLess Sprint Series.

The Track & Facilities

Wilmot Raceway features a 3/8-mile clay, semi-banked oval, designed to produce exciting competition. The track regularly showcases sprint cars, modifieds, street stocks, and other popular divisions, delivering action-packed racing that keeps fans on their feet from green flag to checkered. The grandstands received a revamp in 2023 and boast a capacity of over 4,000 seats with ADA-Accessible Seating. That same year, Wilmot Raceway expanded the fan experience with the addition of an 112 spot on-site campground, allowing race fans to stay right at the track and enjoy a full weekend of racing.

Racing primarily takes place on Saturday nights during the season, typically running from May through September, with special events extending the excitement on weekdays. From weekly racing to major touring series appearances, Wilmot Raceway offers something for every race fan. Wilmot Raceway is conveniently located just minutes off Interstate 94, making it easy to reach from both Wisconsin and Illinois. From I-94, take the exit for Kenosha County Highway C and travel west approximately 12 miles toward Wilmot.

Once you reach the stop sign in town, turn right (north) onto Highway W. Continue ¼ mile, and Wilmot Raceway will be on your left.
