Cottage Grove Speedway
CG SPEEDWAY WELCOMES NEW JUNIORS CLASS!
Cottage Grove Speedway is excited to present an all-new class designed for our younger drivers.
Kids in race cars is nothing new for us here at Cottage Grove Speedway as we have a very successful kart program that has been ran for many years, however with the current cost to compete at the 250 or 500 level we felt it was time to find a new option for our up-and-coming Saturday night stars, so we have added this new Juniors class.
These cars will run the same rule package as the IMCA Sport Compacts with a very strong focus on the safety rules and will be only for those ages 12-16.
We will track points and award trophies for winners each night, this class will not receive a nightly payout, these drivers will however have their pit passes and entry fees waived after the first night as long as they have perfect attendance.
That means on night one, these drivers will all need to pay their pit pass fee and driver registration, on night two those that raced on night one will race for free, on night three those that raced on night two will race for free, and so on.
We are very excited to watch these kids grow on and off the track in the coming years!!
