Cottage Grove Speedway
MARVIN SMITH MEMORIAL WEATHER WATCH AND PLANS
The crew here at Cottage Grove has been full throttle gearing up for the big one this weekend, however we are very aware that the forecast is less than favorable. We know that so many teams travel and some from some pretty far distances to be here for this race and with diesel being over $6.00 in many areas the last thing we want is for anyone to waste a trip.
With that being said here is our plan as of now, we are closely watching all of the forecasts and unless something drastically improves by tonight or in the morning we will postpone this race. Once again POSTPONE, we will NOT cancel this one!! If the weather decides not to cooperate for this weekend our new Marvin Smith Memorial date will be July 29th and 30th with the Western Sprint Tour Speedweek. We will also be moving all of the fun extras to that week so please be patient, we are very busy down here at the Speedway and we will keep you all updated here as soon as any decisions are made.
