Cottage Grove Speedway
COUNTDOWN TO THE FIRST GREEN FLAG OF 2022 - 12 DAYS!!
The 2022 Season is right around the corner! The first green flag of the season will drop in just 12 days. We are going to be counting down to the season each day with a highlight of a different race here at Cottage Grove Speedway!
Today's highlighted event is the Annual Froggy 44 Tribute to Melvin Walker! This event features the IMCA Sport Compacts battling for $444.00 for 44 laps in honor of the late #44, Mel Walker who was a huge presence here at Cottage Grove Speedway in both what at the time was the Hornet class as well as the Street Stocks. This race is always a good one and definitely a battle of endurance as this is over twice the length of your typical Sport Compact main event! Last year Burnie Bryant was very dominant in this class and was also able to win the coveted Froggy, will he remain the guy to beat at this race or will we see a new winner? Join us June, 4th for the Froggy 44 to find out! In addition to Sport Compacts the Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, and Todd's Auto Body Sprints will also be racing for weekly points and paydays!
