Cottage Grove Speedway
All Drivers Under 18 Please Read!!
There have been a lot of questions lately about the age requirements at the Speedway.
Our minimum age for any driver in any class is 16, drivers may be approved on a case by case basis as young as 14. Any driver under 16 MUST be pre-approved to race. To be pre-approved you will need to provide a copy of the driver's birth certificate as well as a racing resume that highlights all of the driver's experience. This information needs to be provided to the Speedway office at least 1 week before you plan to race, this cannot be done on raceday!
Any driver under 18 needs to have a minor release form filled out and on file at the Speedway that has been signed by BOTH parents. These forms are available at the Speedway and can be filled out on raceday.
At this time we do not have an age restriction for pit crew members, however any minor entering the pits will need a minor release form signed by a parent and must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times. Anyone, regardless of age will need to purchase a pit pass.
