Cottage Grove Speedway
INFO FOR THE 4TH OF JULY AT COTTAGE GROVE SPEEDWAY!! PLEASE READ AND BE PREPARED!!
We are so excited to finally be able to have some racing here at Cottage Grove Speedway!!
While we hope to keep things as normal as possible during this anything but normal time there are certain things that are out of our control. We will continue to work towards racing as normal but for now just being open is a huge step!
The biggest disappointment for us all is that spectators will not be allowed at this time, you can however catch all of the action on dirtovaltv.com!
Gates will open at noon, we ask that you wait in your vehicle until the team in front of you has signed in and returned to their vehicle. Please do not enter the facility until you have been instructed by an official to do so.
Pit Meeting is scheduled for 3:30 with racing action to begin at 5:00pm.
Payout will be a standard Cottage Grove payout which can be found on the website under the driver info tab, there have been some amazing sponsors that have stepped up and added bonuses as well as some that have pitched in to help pay the existing payout, all of that information can be found in a previous post.
Pit Passes are $40.00 per person regardless of age, all of those on the property will be required to sign in and buy a pit pass as there is no general admission available at this time. Transponders are available to rent for $20.00 and are required for scoring purposes. There is no additional driver or registration fee at this time.
All classes will be required to abide by all Cottage Grove Speedway rules, these can be found on the website. All cars at all times MUST RUN A LEGAL MUFFLER, THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS!!! Sport Compacts, Spotmods, and Modifieds will be sanctioned by IMCA and must follow all IMCA rules and protocols.
With the uncertainty of the season we will not be keeping points for 2020.
Due to social distancing regulations the front parking lot will be an additional pit area, there will be no personal vehicles allowed to park there. The fairgrounds will have limited parking available for those unable to arrive with their teams for a $5.00 charge per car.
Please maintain social distancing while at the races and if you have any symptoms of Covid-19 we ask that you please stay home.
Concession stands will be open, you are also welcome to bring your own food and drink into the pit areas, alcohol is strictly prohibited.
There will be absolutely NO VIDEOING OR PHOTOGRAPHY ALLOWED other than by our staff. Failure to comply with this rule will get you removed from the property for the remainder of the season and may also result in a DQ for your driver, we are taking this very seriously at this time.
If you have any questions or concerns about these guidelines feel free to call Heather at 541-729-8666. Additional information will be provided to teams upon arrival. Thank you all for your patience and understanding as we navigate our way thru this first race of the season!
