Cottage Grove Speedway Host Two Rounds Of The Wild West Modified Shootout Monday And Tuesday; $10.00 Car Load Each Night

Cottage Grove, Oregon- For two nights Cottage Grove Speedway will have the Wild West Modified Shootout on hand. Monday, June 25th and Tuesday, the 26th fans will be treated to some awesome racing at the historical ¼-mile clay oval. Both nights will be offering a $10.00 Car Load Special so be sure to bring all your family, friends, and neighbors.
Cottage Grove Speedway has been on the schedule every single year of the Wild West Modified Shootout but has not held a race every season. 2013 would be the one and only year no racing would take place with the tour as weather would force a cancellation. Besides that there have been eight different winners in nine races. Jesse Williamson leads the win list with two victories while Scott Lenz, Nick Trenchard, Alex Stanford, Mark Wauge, Kellen Chadwick, John Campos, and Ethan Dotson all have one to their credit. For Campos and Lenz their one and only career WWMS victories are at this venue.
Locally Cottage Grove Speedway has had eight events for the IMCA Modifieds. Bricen James has been the guy to beat with three triumphs while both Jesse Williamson and Jake Mayden have won twice. Eric Ashley is the only single race victor at CGS in 2018.
Both nights Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 5:00 PM, with Racing beginning at 6:30 PM. As mentioned above both races will offer a $10.00 Car Load Special so pack those vehicle (safely) with as many race fans as possible. For more information log on to www.cottagegrovespeedway.com .
As has been the case for the last two Wild West Modified Shootouts the fine folks at Speed Shift TV will be providing live lap-to-lap coverage of every single round. Be sure and stay tuned to the Wild West Modified Shootout Facebook page for the latest news and updates.
