One of the heavy hitters out of the Silver State of Nevada will be apart of the 2015 Wild West Modified Shootout. Shawn Natenstedt, out of Fernley, is excited to be apart of the series and will look to add his name to the list of winner's by the end of speedweek. Already winner of two main events in six starts he has visited the winner's circle of both Fernley 95A Speedway and Rattlesnake Speedway in nearby Fallon.

“The year hasn't been bad,” said Natenstedt, “it's kind of been a 50/50 deal, we are either up front or suffer from a DNF. I'm one of the few guys with an open motor that can keep up with the crates.”

Over the years Shawn has managed to win three IMCA State Championships in Nevada, a former NASCAR Nevada state champion, and is a thirteen time track champion. Of all the tracks the Wild West Modified Shootout the S&M Handyman Service/Competition Carbonation/K.S. Engineering/JR Signs #1 Shaw entry has visited Southern Oregon Speedway, in White City, twice and Yreka, California's Siskiyou Motor Speedway once. Both venues his best result has been a second. On Saturday June 13th Shawn will be celebrating his seventeenth wedding anniversary with his wife at the track.

“I'm really looking forward to running with these guys up here and see how I stack up,” he would continue, “my goal is to make every main event and go from there. With the quality of talent that is coming to this deal that's all you can hope for but at the same time I don't want to count myself out and I think I can hang with the big shoes.”

The 2015 Wild West Modified Shootout kicks off at Southern Oregon Speedway on Saturday June 13th. The tour will wrap things up at Willamette Speedway on the 19th and 20th to close the speedweek out for the second straight year. Teams from Oregon, Washington, California, North Dakota, Montana, and British Columbia Canada are expected to make the journey.

All races will be broadcasted through Speed Shift TV and you can either purchase each race for $19.95 or buy the whole week for $99.95. Orders can be made onhttp://www.speedshifttv.com.
