One of the faces that has been absent from the Wild West Modified Shootout the last few years has been Lawrence O'Connor. The Port Hardy, British Columbia veteran will be back in the state of Oregon, via Vancouver Island, where he will jump on the tour on Monday June 15th at Coos Bay Speedway. Unfortunately he will miss the first couple of races of the tour as he will be in action at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Washington on Saturday night.

“We plan on joining the tour down in Coos Bay after we race in Elma on Saturday,” commented O'Connor, “I'm really looking forward to doing the speedweek deal again, I haven't raced it since the first year.”

O'Connor has had a decorated career including a National Flat Track Motorcycle championship in Canada. He also has amassed track championships at Tri-Port Speedway (in Port Hardy), Saratoga Speedway, and Sun Valley Speedway all of which are located in the province of British Columbia. O'Connor has had a pretty decent year in 2015 with a couple of victories at Skagit Speedway where he is the current point leader. Lawrence is also situated fourth in points in the regional Northwest Modified Cup standings.

“This season has been going well so far,” he would continue, “we were good at Yakima and won two in a row at Skagit, and have been good at Elma, even though we haven't won there yet.”

Keep an eye out for O'Connor as he will look to put his Q.I.D. Limited/Q.M.P.C. Limited/Superior Concrete/Apple Computers #27 Harris in victory lane. Rest assured wherever he shows up no matter how long he has not raced at certain facilities he will definitely be a force to reckon with.

The 2015 Wild West Modified Shootout kicks off at Southern Oregon Speedway on Saturday June 13th. The tour will wrap things up at Willamette Speedway on the 19th and 20th to close the speedweek out for the second straight year. Teams from Oregon, Washington, California, North Dakota, Montana, and British Columbia Canada are expected to make the journey.

All races will be broadcasted through Speed Shift TV and you can either purchase each race for $19.95 or buy the whole week for $99.95. Orders can be made onhttp://www.speedshifttv.com. Be sure and don't miss out on these great races featuring the best Modified drivers in the Pacific Northwest region.
