Final Legs Of ASCS-Northwest Region Triple Track Challenge To Be At CGS

Cottage Grove, Oregon- Cottage Grove Speedway is excited to host the final two legs of the Triple Track Challenge on Saturday May 24th and Sunday the 25th. It will feature the American Sprint Car Series-Northwest Region and will no doubt produce some breathtaking action on the historic ¼-mile clay oval.

The two races will be the first of six total visits by the ASCS-Northwest Region to Cottage Grove. They will return to CGS for a doubleheader on Friday June 13th and Saturday the 14th while they will once again wrap things up for Speedweek Northwest on Friday July 4th and Saturday the 5th.

The ASCS-Northwest Region 360 Sprints will be wrapping up the their final two legs of their 2014 Season Opener weekend being dubbed the Triple Track Challenge which features four races in four days at three different tracks. The weekend begins at Southern Oregon Speedway on Thursday May 22nd and then the series goes to Willamette Speedway in Lebanon on Friday the 23rd.

ASCS-National Tour regular Seth Bergman is expected to be in the house along with Logan Forler, Trey Starks, Henry Van Dam, Kyle Hirst, and many more. There has been one 360 Sprint feature contested at CGS in 2014 with Roger Crockett picking up the win on April 12th.

There have been twenty-two ASCS sanctioned events at CGS since 2008 with seven different winners. Roger Crockett leads that win list with a total of twelve visits to victory lane including all six visits in 2013. Jason Johnson has four wins at Cottage Grove while Shane Stewart has been in the winner’s circle twice. Drivers who have won once when the tour has been in town include Jesse Hockett, Wayne Johnson, Brady Bacon, and Henry Van Dam.

For each night the Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:00, and Racing starts at 6:45. Ticket prices per event are Adults $15.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $13.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $8.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE.

Be sure and don’t miss a lap of the action as the ASCS-Northwest Region as the area’s best 360 Sprint Car drivers will contest on seven different race tracks in three different states that include Oregon, Washington, and California.
