Cottage Grove, Oregon- If you’re a Sprint Car fan then the Cottage Grove Speedway is the perfect place to be to spend your Memorial Day weekend at. The historic ¼-mile clay oval will host races on Saturday May 24th and Sunday the 25th. Classes both evenings include the American Sprint Car Series-Northwest Region, Northwest Extreme Sprints, and Vintage Cars. Both races will be two separate shows with full racing programs each night.

The ASCS-Northwest Region 360 Sprints will be wrapping up the their final two legs of their 2014 Season Opener weekend being dubbed the Triple Track Challenge which features four races in four days at three different tracks. ASCS-National Tour regular Seth Bergman is expected to be in the house along with Logan Forler, Roger Crockett, Henry Van Dam, Kyle Hirst, and many more. There has been one 360 Sprint feature contested at CGS in 2014 with Roger Crockett picking up the win on April 12th.

The Northwest Extreme Sprints have hosted two events so far this year producing two different winners. Dave Hibbard was the victor in the first race on April 19th while Danny Horner returned to victory lane last Saturday, May 17th. The Vintage Cars are always a treat to watch as they bring Sprint Cars and Midgets from yesteryear. Vintage racers from all over the Pacific Northwest are expected to be on hand for the weekend.

For each night the Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:00, and Racing starts at 6:45. Ticket prices per event are Adults $15.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $13.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $8.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE.

Don't forget about the rescheduled Marvin Smith Memorial Grove Classic on Saturday May 31st. With $4,100.00 to win you can bet that many of these same ASCS-Northwest teams are going to come back and try to score the win. For more information log on to www.cottagegrovespeedway.com.
