Cottage Grove, Oregon- Attention all ladies the Cottage Grove Speedway has a deal for you. All female spectators will get into the races on Saturday June 29th for FREE. Classes in action at the ¼-mile clay oval will be the Northwest Extreme Sprints, Midgets, Street Stocks, and Hornets.

The Northwest Extreme Sprint division has been dominated by female drivers so far this year. In the first three races Raquel Ivie has won twice while Kady Adelman just once. Will anyone be able to beat any of these girls Saturday night?

CGS has had just one Midget race which saw Lance Hallmark pick up the win on May 25th. In the Street Stock ranks Darin Crooks and Daniel Ray are tied for most feature wins with two wins each. Jordan Braaten and Steve Begley are the only drivers to have won once this season.

The Hornets will get a lot of track time Saturday night. They will partake in twin features which means they will have two main events. Joe Maricle has the most victories in the class with a total of four triumphs. Kolby Clay is the only other repeat winner, with two wins, while Jim Simmons has visited victory lane just once. Drivers with non-point main event wins are Evan Britton and James Deatherage.

Tickets for the races on Saturday are $12.00 for Adults, Senior/Military/Junior (13-17) $10.00, Youths (6-12) $5.00, and Children under the age of five are FREE. A Family Pass is offered for $30.00 which includes two Adults and up to four Youths. Pit gates open at 2:00 PM, front gates 4:00, time trials 5:30, and racing stats around 6:45.

The Cottage Grove Speedway has hosted fast and exciting action as far back as 1956. Since then the ¼-mile banked oval has been regarded as a place where fast times are set and plenty of side-by-side racing occurs. Regular classes include 360 Sprints, IMCA Modifieds, NW Extreme Winged Sprint Cars, Late Models, Street Stocks, and Hornets from the months of April till October every Saturday night.
