Airborne Park Speedway
Robin Branham Crash for Cancer Enduro
The final event of 2016 will be taking place this Saturday at Airborne Park Speedway, with a scheduled post time of 5 p.m. The event will be the Robin Branham Crash for Cancer Enduro. Event distance will be 150 laps.
Robin Branham was a longtime racer and supporter of Airborne and lost his battle with Liver Cancer in early September. Robin wanted to have this event to raise money to fight cancer. At the time of his passing, plans were already in the works to have an event to raise money to help fight cancer. A portion of the proceeds raised from the event will be donated in Robin’s name to the North Country Cancer Fund.
Main gates will open at 3 p.m. and prices will be $10 for adults and kids 12 and under will be admitted free of charge.
Included at the front gate will be some door prizes along with two bike giveaways for children under 12 years old. Raffle tickets will be available for chainsaws along with a 50/50 raffle. A portion of sales from Little Racer Meals will go towards the donation also.
Another event taking in proceeds to go towards the donation will be a Dine to Donate on Thursday, October 13 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Texas Roadhouse in Plattsburgh. 10% of sales, with proper coupon, will be donated to the North Country Cancer Fund. There will also be a basket raffled off.
