Southern Illinois Showdown presented by Holzhauer Auto and Lutz Agency Inc. Sets Stage For Class Finales in Pro Pulling League
Sellersburg, IN (September 4th, 2024) – The Southern Illinois Showdown presented by Holzhauer Auto and The Lutz Agency is a culmination of a hard-fought season of competition for multiple classes in 2024. The Track at Holzhauers in Nashville, Illinois, provides the stage for the event on Friday, September 6th, and Saturday, September 7th, starting at 7pm CT for both sessions.
Featured at the Southern Illinois Showdown will be the Pro Stock Tractors presented by Lemke Motorsports in their season finale with the "Tinker Toy" Deere out of the Masterson Farms stable in the lead with trailer mate "River Rat" Deere sitting in second. Mini Rods presented by SCS Gearbox/Probell Racing also hit the track, with Jeff Hirt and his "B Bare" entry holding a commanding lead over Tyler Slaugh and the "Have No Mercy." The Minis have one hook remaining after Nashville at Dragway 42 in West Salem, Ohio.
With Champions Tour points at stake in Pro Stocks and Minis, other classes will be in action for Hart's Diesel Silver Series and Champion Seed Western Series honors. The Kawasaki Parts Warehouse/Sancrest Trailer Sales 95 Limited Pro Stocks will double-dip for points; Jared Wortmann and the "Goliath" have the points lead in the Silver Series while past 95 Limited Pro Champ Adrian Cox and the "Hickory Hooker" Farmall leads the Western Series points race coming into Nashville. The Silver Series wraps up their season this weekend while the Western Series combatants have one final hook next weekend in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Sancrest Specialized Transport 85 Limited Pro Stocks feature David Daughtery and "The High Price Hooker" CaseIH in a shootout with the "Cawood's Comet" of Josh Hannah as they wrap up their season at Nashville and Cape. Closing out their season at Nashville will be the Pro Stock 5,0 Tractors with the "Change of Pace" CaseIH of Brad and Brennan Begeman pursued by Richard Warren and the "Cottonmouth" IH. Light Limited Super Stocks also stop in Nashville for their 2024 finale, where Cole and Wyatt Robinson share a trailer and the points lead coming into Nashville with their immaculate Farmalls, "Bad Idea" and "Shake N Bake."
