The Flynn's Tire Touring Series for both the RUSH Late Models and RUSH Sportsman Modifieds will be at Lernerville Speedway on Friday night (July 22) for the "RUSH Summer Showcase, which will also include the RUSH Sprint Cars. The Flynn's Tire Touring Series for the Late Models then heads to Tyler County Speedway on Saturday night for the first time ever. Meanwhile, the RUSH Sportsman Modifieds will be at Pittsburgh's PA Motor Speedway on Saturday night, while the RUSH Sprint Cars will return to Knox Raceway on Sunday in an Equipment Rental Options Weekly Series event. Warmups begin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday night and 6:45 p.m. on Saturday night at Tyler County.

Friday night will be the third annual "RUSH Summer Showcase" at Lernerville Speedway; however, for the first time will include Flynn's Tire Touring Series events for both the RUSH Late Models and RUSH Sportsman Modifieds. For the Late Models, it will be the second of three appearances at the Sarver, Pa. oval with $3,000 going to the winner. The Late Models last ran at Lernerville on June 25 when Florida's Mark Whitener topped a 56-car field for the $20,000 "Bill Emig Memorial" presented by Sunoco Race Fuels victory plus a $5,000 championship diamond ring from D&V Jewelers. The RUSH Late Models also ran a Hovis Weekly Series event on May 20 with Will Thomas III victorious.

On the RUSH Sportsman Modified side, Garrett Krummert won the Hovis Weekly Series event on April 29. Friday will be the season's third Flynn's Tire Tour event and first of two visits to Lernerville with $800 going to the winner. Thus far this season, Ben Easler (June 18 at Sharon) and Kole Holden (July 14 at Expo) won their first career Tour events. Krummert leads the Touring Series points.

Tyler County Speedway is in its first year under the RUSH banner for its Late Model class. Donnie Dotson leads the way with four victories including the last three as he sits atop the $2,000 to-win "Track Pack". Michael Duritsky, Jr. and Kyle Thomas each have a pair of victories, while A.J. Spagnuola also has a win. Saturday will mark the first of two appearances by the Flynn's Tire Tour to the Middlebourne, WV oval. While $3,000 will be on the line on Saturday night, the ante will be upped to $4,000 to-win on Sunday, September 4 as part of the "Hillbilly 100" with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. Saturday's event will make history as its not only the first RUSH Tour race at Tyler County, but first ever in the state of West Virginia.

"This will be a great weekend for RUSH racers," stated RUSH Director Vicki Emig. "Lernerville and Tyler County are popular venues for racers and to be able to do them on back-to-back nights is tremendous. The weather is looking great for both nights. We have to thank Lernerville for their continued support of the RUSH program and the 'RUSH Summer Showcase' is always popular with the racers and fans. We also have to thank Raceway 7 and Dog Hollow for giving the RUSH Late Models the night off on Friday night to allow their racers to compete at Lernerville. Tyler County has been a long sought after addition to the RUSH Series and we know many racers are looking forward to their RUSH Tour events."
