Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series Deep Fried 75 Weekend at Duck River Raceway Park November 3-5
SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (October 31, 2022) – The Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series is set to return to action at Duck River Raceway Park for the 10th Annual Deep Fried 75 weekend at the track located just outside of Lewisburg, TN on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday November 3, 4, and 5. The Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series will race for $5,000 to win on Friday November 4 and will be racing for $10,000 to win on Saturday November 5.
The 10th Annual Deep Fried 75 weekend will get underway on Thursday November 3 with an open practice for all divisions that will take place from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Pit passes for the November 3 Open Practice will be $25 for adults and $15 for children. All times listed are Central Daylight Time.
The first night of green flag racing for the 10th Annual Deep Fried 75 weekend for the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series at Duck River Raceway Park will be on Friday November 4 and will be featured in a full program of Denby’s J&J Construction Hot Laps, E-Z-GO Time Trials, Sunoco Race Fuels Last Chance Heats, and a 30 lap, $5,000 to win/$450 to start feature contest. Other divisions in competition with the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series at Duck River Raceway Park on Friday November 4 will be the track’s CRUSA Open Wheel Modifieds ($600 to win), Modified Street ($500 to win), Factory Stock ($500 to win), Dwarf Cars ($400 to win), and Front Wheel Drives ($300 to win), plus the Southern Mod4 Mini Association will time trial, with the top twelve qualifiers being locked in to Saturday night’s feature event for the division. Activities at Duck River Raceway Park on Friday November 4 will see the pit area open at 2:00 p.m. and general admission area will open at 2:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 5:30 p.m., with practice laps and time trials beginning at 6:00 p.m. Ticket prices at Duck River Raceway Park on Friday November 4 in the general admission area will be $25 for adults, children ages 6-12 $15 and children ages 5 and under free. A pit pass will be $40 for adults, with children ages 6-12 $20, and children ages 5 and under free. All times listed are Central Daylight Time.
The 10th Annual Deep Fried 75 weekend concludes at Duck River Raceway Park on Saturday November 5 and will feature the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series in a full program of Denby’s J&J Construction Hot Laps, E-Z-GO Time Trials, Sunoco Race Fuels Heat Races, Impact Race Gear B-Mains, and a 45 lap, $10,000 to win/$500 to start feature event. Other divisions in action at Duck River Raceway Park on Saturday November 5 will be the track’s Limited/604 Late Models ($1,000 to win), Mod Lites ($1,000 to win), 602 Late Models ($800 to win), CRUSA Street Stocks ($600 to win), Pure Pony ($500 to win), and Front Wheel Drive Open Race ($350 to win), plus the Southern Mod4 Mini Association will contest their B-Mains and Feature event ($5,000 to win). Activities at Duck River Raceway Park on Saturday November 5 will see the pit area open at 1:00 p.m. and general admission area will open at 1:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 4:00 p.m., with practice laps and time trials beginning at 4:30 p.m. Ticket prices at Duck River Raceway Park on Saturday November 5 in the general admission area will be $30 for adults, children ages 6-12 $20, while children ages 5 and under are free. A pit pass will be $45 for adults, children ages 6-12 $25, while children ages 5 and under are free. All times listed are Central Daylight Time.
The Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series will sanction the Super Late Model portion of the weekend’s events and the tire rule will be as follows: Hoosier 1350/1600/LM40/21 or American Racer 48 and 56 anywhere on the car, with the Left Front being open (there is no limit on the number of tires used; NO 29.0 size tires on the left rear; the droop rule will be in effect, along with the new standardized 2022 body rules). The entry fee will be $100 each night and transponders for timing/scoring will be available for rent at the track. Any driver not making the 22-car starting field will receive $50 tow money on Friday November 4, while any driver not making the 22-car starting field on Saturday November 5 will receive $75 tow money.
