Dean Garland Classic Gets Payout Boost!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Buckingham, IL) Officials with the Midwest Street Stock Championship, Track Enterprises, INC., and Macon Speedway have agreed to terms to increase the payout for the make-up Dean Garland Classic at Macon Speedway, now to take place on July 15.
The Dean Garland Classic will now pay $1,000 to the winner and also pay $100 to start. The event will also pay Double Points to all series competitors in all points paying areas as part of a Double Points Double Header Weekend. The Midwest Street Stock Championship makes its way to Spoon River Speedway on Sunday July 16 as the backend of the Double Header Weekend.
"We wanted to find a way to reward the drivers since we had to reschedule when we did," said MSSC President of Business Operations Tony Hubert. "Being able to pay more to start and win, as well as Double Points was our way of doing just that."
The Midwest Street Stock Championship returns to action June 24 at Fairbury American Legion Speedway as part of the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals Program.
