Johnny Boland Earns POWRi Non-Wing Outlaw Micro KKM Challenge Preliminary Night Two-Win

Logansport, IN. (8/9/24) Johnny Boland would blast to the lead on lap four to win Eibach Racing Preliminary Night Two of the third yearly installment of the Keith Kunz Motorsports Challenge presented by Start2Finish TV claiming his first career victory with the POWRi Non-Wing Outlaw Micro League at the outstanding hosting US-24 Speedway.

Going through a strong split-field of thirty-two entries on prelim night Two of the POWRi Non-Wing Outlaw Micro division in the KKM Challenge would find Johnny Boland set the quick qualifying time with a time of 12.107 seconds. Brian Carber, Jeffrey Newell, Cruz Dickerson, and Russ Disinger would each emerge victorious in heat racing action with Brian Carber, Jake Andreotti, and Cruz Dickerson all earning wins in qualifier competitions as Justis Sokol would gain the semi-feature win.

Flying onto the smooth US-24 Speedway surface for Eibach Racing Preliminary Night Two feature racing for the opening night of the Keith Kunz Motorsports Challenge presented by Start2Finish TV would see high-point qualifier Gavin Miller battle outside front-row contender Cruz Dickerson as the green flew with Gavin Miller holding the front of the field with Johnny Boland, Cruz Dickerson, Jake Andreotti, and Brian Carber all staying close inside the early contending top five with a caution flag waving on lap three.

Restarting with the POWRi choose-cone coming into play, Johnny Boland would make a bold move off turn four to overtake for the lead with Gavin Miller staying closely behind in second while the top two separated from the field as Cruz Dickerson, Brian Carber, Jake Nail, Jake Andreotti, Parker Perry, Russ Disinger, Jeffrey Newell, and Gunnar Pio raced inside the top ten.

Bunching the field back together for a lap ten restart, Johnny Boland would blaze a trail out front separating gradually from a second-running Gavin Miller as the laps began to tick away with Brian Carber getting past Cruz Dickerson ahead of Jake Nail rounding out the top five with less than five laps remaining.

Never wavering out front would find Johnny Boland holding steady up front for his first career POWRi Non-Wing Outlaw Micro victory as leader of three laps Gavin Miller would finish in the closely contended second spot with Brian Carber finalizing the podium placements.

“Car stuck to the bottom really well and this car was easy to drive so we were good,” said Johnny Boland in the US-24 Speedway victory lane for Preliminary Night Two of the Indiana KKM Challenge. Adding, “It’s been awesome racing so far but tomorrow is a new day and we’ll go work on the car some more tonight to be ready”.

Driving from starting tenth, Jake Nail would place fourth as Cruz Dickerson rounded out the top-five finishers in the POWRi Non-Wing Outlaw Micro League feature in Eibach Racing Preliminary Night Two of the Keith Kunz Motorsports Challenge presented by Start2Finish TV at US-24 Speedway.
