Alex Therrien Thrills in POWRi Lightning Sprint Nationals Night Three Victory at Greenbush

Belleville, IL. (8/13/23) Increasing intrigue into Night Three of the Fifth Annual POWRi Lightning Sprint Nationals as the hosting POWRi Minn-Kota Lightning Sprint Series would welcome competitors from all over the United States and Canada onto the class facility of Greenbush Race Park with Canadian talent Alex Therrien emerging victorious to claim Nationals Night Three glory as well as overall weeklong Nationals points lead.

Remaining resilient in the four-day speed-fest in Greenbush Minnesota with thirty-five talented entries, Night Three of the POWRi Lightning Sprint Nationals would find the hometown merits of Dylan Langevin claiming checkers in Heat Race One and Alan Truscinski winning Heat Race Three as Victoriaville Quebec driver Alex Therrien emerged victorious in Heat Race Two and Union Grove Wisconsin wheelman Adrew Kiedrowski winning Heat Race Four. Semi-feature winners would include Californian Grant Sexton and Quebecer Eric Sunborg.

Launching on the feature green flag racing would find Californian Dash winner Brent Sexton, after a complete rebuild from the prior event, battle front-row companion and weeklong point-leader Alex Therrien into the first pair of corners as the patriarch Sexton-Gatlin driver would blast to the preferred position with Therrien, Dexter Dvergsten, Jesse Fernandez, and Alan Truscinski all right behind the leader compiling the top-five.

Battling nearly every lap in almost every corner, the feature event would witness four lead changes with Brent Sexton, Jesse Fernandez, Dexter Dvergsten, and Alex Therrien all sharing duties as lap leaders throughout an action-packed forty-lap feature event that would also see several drivers advance multiple positions on the finely prepared Greenbush Race Park surface with several grooves of speedy racing.

Holding the front of the field on the gem of a track for the final thirty-two laps of the forty-lap feature event, Alex Therrien would not be denied in his making an emphatic statement of speed to earn his inaugural career victory in the POWRi Lightning Sprint Division while also overtaking the lead in the weeklong racing retreat after the Night Three feature finish.

Leader of seven laps in the early part of the feature event, Brent Sexton would recover from a previous night's mishap to finish runner-up as perennial powerhouse Dexter Dvergsten would clinch third from starting tenth. Hometown hopeful Alan Truscinski finished fourth with hard-charger Josiah King flying past fourteen other competitors to round out the top-five finishers for the hosting POWRi Minn-Kota Lightning Sprint Series feature event at Greenbush Race Park for Night Three of the 2023 POWRi Lightning Sprint Nationals.
