Drivers to Watch: POWRi National Midget League/Xtreme Midget Series July 21-22

Belleville, IL. (7/19/23) Traveling into fresh venues while also recalling recognizable running grounds, the POWRi National Midget League, running in conjunction with the Xtreme Outlaw Midgets Series, will witness racing across the river over the July 21-22 weekend with a debut at Doe Run Raceway on Friday followed by a league return to Southern Illinois Raceway on Saturday.

Setting a standard atop the standings, the POWRi National Midget League points picture has witnessed Mounce-Stout Motorsports challenger Corbin Rueschenberg continually lead both the rookie of the year and national points. Joining his teammate will see the defending rookie-of-the-year winner Chase McDermand trying for checkers entering the two-state-swing.

Shooting up to second in POWRi National Midget League seasonal points, Cannon McIntosh comes into the weekend red-hot with four wins on the season while continuing to mentor through the span of the season, DaveMac-Dalby Motorsports will also plan on bringing up-and-coming Brody Wake after an impressive SPEEDWeek debut and Show-Me-State solidification amongst National contenders.

Rounding out the podium placements in the POWRi National Midget League finds the recent yearly national winner of Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex Karter Sarff, continually and consistently carving his path to the top of the standings. Connecting with contention, SPEEDWeek runner-up and Rudeen Racing wheelman Chance Crum also joins the top-five contenders that are primed for a front-running charge.

Commanding a full fleet of upper-tier contenders, Keith Kunz Motorsports will see a jam-packed list of drivers entering including recent league winner Gavin Miller as well as perennial frontrunners Cooper Williams, Taylor Reimer, Jade Avedisian, and Mariah Ede.

Joining the mix of competitors slated to enter over the July 21-22 weekend will also see an intermingling of traveling talents including three-time POWRi National Midget and defending Xtreme Series champ Zach Daum, Reinbold-Underwood rising talent Hayden Reinbold, O’Dell Motorsports teammates Mitchell Davis and Jake Neuman, plus many more.
