Aaron Poe Attains Back-To-Back POWRi Super Stock National Championships

Belleville, IL. (11/4/22) Retaining as champion under a demanding and grueling yearly undertaking, Aaron Poe would rule the POWRi Super Stock Division for the second-straight season with dominating driving performance and flawless consistent competitional placings in the tight National title earning endeavor.

“This season came with a few new challenges and I can't imagine doing it all without Jessica by my side. With the arrival of our first child (Lennyn Leona), we both had to navigate learning to become parents while also tending to the car, racing on weekends, and normal-everyday life challenges. But we can't think of any better place to be raising her and creating all these great memories than at the racetrack with our racing family” said the sophomore season Super Stock victor Aaron Poe.

“Coming off of a career-best season in 2021, which included 10 wins and the national championship, brings with it a bit more pressure for the next season; most of which was self-induced. At the end of last year, we made a goal to repeat as champions but knew we'd have our work cut out for us as close as the points battle ended last year. We never could have imagined having an even better season with 17 wins. Against this field of competitors we have in our class, that's really saying something and is a testament to how much blood, sweat, and tears we pour into our racing program. But this group of drivers that we race against weekly has become like a second family. It might be all business on the track but when the helmets come off, we’re all friends and it's nothing but a good time in the pits regardless of our finishes. That's what racing is all about, That's why we love this class so much,” exclaimed the celebratory Poe.

Supporting the B&G Scoops, Spies Enterprises, Central Bank of Warrensburg, Solar Pro Tint 'n Tunes, Elite Realty, All-Star Bail Bonds, Joe Good State Farm, Elite Auto Repair, Stay True Tattoo & Piercings, Sadie's Spirits & Tobacco, Liter's VP, Dirt Track Specialist, Bruce Farms, Honor Detailing, Elite Signs Plus and Superior Steering Wheels #45, two-time champion Poe would notch a divisional leading seventeen wins on the season in his twenty-nine seasonal starts with a consistent twenty-seven top-ten performances, even-more impressive twenty-six by-way of top-five finishes.

“We'll definitely be back next year to defend our title as we go for the hat trick next season,” concluded the two-time champion Poe about his plans next season. Aaron would also add, “I have to thank all the individuals that make all this possible; My parents/crew chiefs Tim & Rhonda Poe, my Grandma Barb Thoma, My sister and brother-in-law Marc & Andrea Carter, my niece and nephew Addison & Brady Carter, crewman Phil Sullivan, John Brooks, Mike Werneke, Mike Daugherty, and of course my loving and awesome wife Jessica. Without all these people we wouldn’t be able to hit the track every week and have as much success as we've had the past several years.”

Securing the sophomore season POWRi Super Stock National Championship honors, Aaron Poe(Knob Noster, MO.) would repeat the championship by a resounding one-hundred-sixty-point margin over second-place finisher Ted Welschmeyer(Tebbetts, MO.) with Donnie Miller(West Plains, MO.) finishing third two-hundred-thirty points back. Michael Muskrat(Stillwell, OK,) would end fourth two-hundred-ninety points behind as Devin Irvin(Cleveland, MO.) rounded out the top-five placements only trailing the prevailing Poe by four-hundred-twenty points.

All-time POWRi Super Stock Feature win-count leader with twenty-four feature wins Aaron Poe, amongst other POWRi Champions, will be honored at the Annual POWRi Championship Banquet on Saturday, January 21st at Margaritaville Lake Resort in Osage Beach, Missouri.
