Together Again – Bacon & Hoffman Racing begin Chase for another USAC Title!

Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (February 13, 2019) – No question, it has been a potent combination in the past.

Now they’re back together for the 2019 Amsoil USAC National Sprint Car trail, as Brady Bacon and the Hoffman Racing Mean Green Racing No. 69 Sprint Car team guns for a third series title together.

And it begins with this weekend’s “Winter Dirt Games” at Ocala, Florida’s Bubba Raceway Park on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

“We have always worked well together, so it should be something that we can pick right back up on and carry out through the year,” Bacon commented.
Bacon and the Hoffman Racing No. 69 team captured the USAC Sprint Car title in both 2014 and 2016.

Piloting his own BBR No. 99 over the USAC portion of the 2018 season, Bacon teamed up with the Hoffman Racing entry on a couple of occasions along the way in unsanctioned action and the results were there with a win at Lawrenceburg to close out June. It’s something they look to build upon this year.

Bacon raced to a fifth-place finish in last year’s USAC National Sprint Car points with four series win to his credit including triumphs at Eldora, Grandview, Plymouth (IN) and Terre Haute.

“We had to start from scratch with our own team last year and it took a little while to get things dialed in. But once we did, we had a good car about every night out,” Bacon relates. “Being back with Hoffman Racing this year, we should be good right out of the box.”

After posting a career-best fourth-place finish at the Chili Bowl Nationals, this weekend’s triple-header gets an ambitious season of more than 100 events going for Bacon in a variety of cars.

The focus is on capturing the USAC National Sprint Car title with Hoffman Racing. And it begins this weekend with Hoffman Racing after a Wednesday night practice session.
