Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (June 11, 2019) – Brian Brown is coming off a very successful week.

Brown recorded his fifth top 10 of the season with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series a week ago Tuesday and he remained undefeated at Knoxville Raceway, where he won for the third time in three starts this season by sweeping the night on Saturday.

June 4 – Fairbury Speedway in Fairbury, Ill. – Qualifying: 5; Heat race: 2 (2); Dash: 7 (7); Feature: 10 (7).

“We started off really good,” Brown said. “Chad had a real good package for our car and we unloaded fast, qualifying fifth and finishing second in a heat. We weren’t very good in the dash. We went the wrong way with the car and we got a little off on our adjustments. We weren’t as good as we needed to be in the feature either. We still got a top 10 though. Any time you get a top 10 with the Outlaws on a track that’s not in our wheelhouse it’s a good night.”

June 8 – Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa – Qualifying: 1; Heat race: 1 (6); Feature: 1 (4).

“We were the quickest in hot laps, set quick time, won the heat from sixth and won the feature from fourth,” Brown said. “It was a really good night. My car is really, really good there right now. There is a good quality of drivers at Knoxville. Any time you can go and win every event you’re in it’s a real good feeling. Chad, Nate and dad got the car really good.

“I feel like I can run the top as good as anybody in the country there, but you’re not going to win the Knoxville Nationals by running 50 laps around the top. You have to be diverse. Brad Sweet showed that last year. I’ve watched a lot of video of Danny (Lasoski) and Donny (Schatz) and Brad last year on how they ran it. In the feature (last Saturday) I ran 16 or 18 of the 20 laps on the bottom. I want to give our team the best opportunity to succeed. In order for us to do that I have to go to the bottom and run it. You have to be disciplined. You have to use the brake and the throttle and not miss your line. It takes a little to get used to, but every lap I get more comfortable and hopefully that will pay dividends later in the year.”

UP NEXT – Friday and Saturday at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, for the Brownells Big Guns Bash with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series

“The way we’re looking at it is it’s two nights at Knoxville that pay more,” Brown said. “If we get our car good and I drive good we can beat anybody in the world. If we have our car bad and I drive bad we can get beat by anybody in the world. We’re not going to put any pressure on ourselves this weekend. It’s another opportunity for us to go in and try to put ourselves in position to win every night.”
