Driver Information
Swine Flew Racing is a play of words on the illness "Swine Flu", trying to be comical & be noticed by people!
My nickname is "Rooter" given to me at work by fellow truck drivers since I hog up as many miles as I can; pigs root around always looking for more.
Low budget, not much knowledge, not much help, learning how to race.
Career Highlights
2021: My Dodge Neon is getting dialed in! See you at the races!
Past:
A two-year build on Sundays finally got us to the track late season of 2017.
During hot laps & qualifying the head gasket blew, quickly ending that car/season.
A different car was bought & stripped from street type to let's try to race type.
The entire 2018 season was missed due to the car being at my cage fabricators' shop way too long; the whole season.
2019: The 1998 Dodge Neon was completed & ready for the track. Hoped to race the full schedule at Barberton Speedway!
2020: rough for everyone. We struggled to set up the car to make it competitive. Towards end of season, we got some help from pit neighbor Chad Greenland.
2021: Season began rough again, breaking on opening night & again 2 weeks later.
5-12-21 update: a couple of rainouts & time to work on the Neon has us hopeful of a good season!
Most Memorable Moment
Finally being on the racetrack. To some it's in their blood & family tradition. To me, it's been a kids' dream that didn't get off the ground til after 40.
