Junghans scores seventh place finish in Rock Gault Memorial opener

On Friday, Chase Junghans returned with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) for the two-day Rock Gault Memorial. With the 43-car field split into two separate groups for a pair of preliminary features, Junghans followed up the seventh fastest time in his qualifying group with a fourth-place finish in his heat. Starting the $5,000-to-win preliminary feature in seventh, Chase held his spot for the entire distance of the 25-lapper to finish seventh. (Chris Owens photo)
