Ninth-place outing in Cotton Pickin' 100 at Magnolia with Comp Cams
On Friday afternoon, Josh Putnam made the trip to Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.) for the first night of the Cotton Pickin' 100 with the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series.
With a strong 46-car field on hand, Putnam missed the eight ball in qualifying and recorded a DNF in his heat race. With one more chance to make Friday's A-Main, Putnam finished eighth in his B-Main.
Looking for a better showing on Saturday, Josh charged to a runner-up finish in his heat after starting sixth. Rolling off from the fourth row in the $12,000-to-win main event, Putnam landed inside the Top-10 in ninth.
Josh Putnam will return to the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series this weekend at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) to chase the championship.
