Pair of ninth-place finishes in Silver Dollar Nationals weekend at I-80

On Thursday evening Chris Ferguson followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) west to I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Neb.) to open the Imperial Tile Silver Dollar Nationals weekend with the Dirt Track Bank Go 50. The following night for two rounds of heat races, Chris marched forward three spots in his first heat to place fifth. Scoring a fourth place finish in his second round, Ferguson was one position shy of locking his spot into Saturday night’s finale via passing points.

Rolling off on the pole of his B-Main on Saturday evening, Ferguson streaked to a 15-lap consolation victory, locking into the 19th-starting position for the $53,000-to-win Imperial Tile Silver Dollar Nationals. Breaking into the Top-10, Chris Ferguson passed 10 cars in the 101-lap affair to register a ninth place outing.
