Pair of Top-10 finishes with World of Outlaws and LOLMDS

Chris Ferguson was one of 39 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries on hand at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) on Friday night for the Mike Duvall Memorial. Following the second fastest lap overall in time trials behind Brandon Overton, Ferguson cruised to a 10-lap heat race victory, sending him into the redraw. Pulling the fourth-starting position for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Chris dropped five spots in the 50-lap affair to register a ninth place finish. (Heath Lawson photo)

The following night at Pittsburgh Pa. Motor Speedway (Imperial, Pa.) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned Pittsburgher 100, Ferguson secured his spot into the main event with a runner-up finish in his heat behind Kyle Strickler. With $20,000 on the line, Chris broke into the Top-5 early and was up to fourth when he decided to replace his right-rear tire during the lap-40 fuel stop. Charging from the tail of the field, Chris Ferguson rallied to finish seventh.
