Eighth-place finish in Jackson 100 at Brownstown

Friday night saw Chris Ferguson make the trip to Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Ind.) to compete in a field of 59 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries for the Jackson 100 weekend. Coming one spot short of a transfer spot in his heat with a fourth place finish, Ferguson transferred into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature. Grabbing the second and final transfer spot, Chris locked into the 22nd-starting position for the A-Main. With $10,000 on the line, Chris Ferguson gained six spots in the 40-lapper to place 16th. On Saturday afternoon, Chris came in sixth fastest in his time trial group before finishing third in his heat. Starting the $15,000-to-win Jackson 100 in 17th, Ferguson marched through the field nine spots in the 100-lap affair to register an eighth place finish.
