Theiss Begins 2019 Season at RPM Speedway

Friday night saw Austin Theiss begin his 2019 season at RPM Speedway (Crandall, Texas) competing in a field of 18 Southern Texas Late Models Series entries. Scoring a 5th place finish in his heat, Theiss earned the 15th-starting position for the opening night feature. He was one of four cars that failed to finish the 25-lapper.

On Saturday evening at Devil’s Bowl Speedway (Mesquite, Texas), Austin started the night off with a heat race victory which positioned him 2nd on the starting grid for the $1,000-to-win A-Main. He again suffered mechanical issues and was an early retiree. (Fritz photo)
