Top-10 finish in season opener at Poplar Bluff Motorsports Park

Friday night saw Mason Oberkramer make his first start of the 2021 season at Poplar Bluff Motorsports Park (Poplar Bluff, Mo.) for the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) sanctioned contest. In a field of 29 cars, Oberkramer followed up the fifth fastest time in his qualifying group with a runner-up finish in his heat behind Billy Moyer. Starting the $3,000-to-win A-Main in sixth, Mason dropped two spots in the 30-lapper to register an eighth-place finish. (Millie Tanner photo | Turn 3 Images)

The following night at Legit Speedway Park (West Plains, Mo.), Mason posted a second-place finish in his heat behind Billy Moyer Jr., which positioned him sixth on the starting grid for the feature. With $3,000 on the line, Oberkramer was an early retiree from the 40-lapper with five laps remaining.
