O'Neil marches to a fourth place finish in Harris Clash at Deer Creek
Nick took the weekend off, but Jake was in action across three states over the past week, starting last Monday at the Clay County Speedway where he was behind the wheel of a Chance Hollatz owned Stock Car. His night was short lived though as mechanical issues forced him to retire on the opening lap of the heat race, and ended his night.
Tuesday, he took his #0 IMCA Modified to the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, MN for the annual Harris Clash. 87 Modifieds signed in and Jake raced from 6th to 2nd in his heat race, then won the b-main from the pole and then proceeded to charge from his 18th starting spot int he main event up to a very impressive 4th place finish when the checkered flag flew.
After taking a couple nights off, he made the trip over to the Park Jefferson Speedway in Jefferson, SD for a 2-day event and ran 6th and 7th in his heat races the opening night before racing to a runner up finish in the b-main on Saturday and then working his way from 13th up to finish 9th in the feature event.
